This applies to existing and new clients. For the provision of in-person services, please continue to use our existing Courtesy Register.

For Psychologists from other Jurisdictions: The NSBEP has also temporarily suspended some conditions for the provision of its courtesy register for the provision of telehealth services into Nova Scotia for existing clients by psychologists registered in other jurisdictions not covered by the Canadian Atlantic Provinces MOU.

In the context of COVID-19,  existing clients also includes:
  • clients who are temporarily located in Nova Scotia due to COVID-19 and are entitled to receive those services as a benefit of their registration with a University or College or other benefit program outside of Nova Scotia, where the services will be provided by an out-of-province psychologist on behalf of the University or College counselling service or other benefit program; or
  • clients who are temporarily located in Nova Scotia due to COVID-19, when it is reasonably expected that the clients will require continuing services with the same psychologist upon the client’s return to the jurisdiction in which the clinician is registered.
Please note that the above applies only to provision of telepsychology services to existing clients, as described above. For the provision of telepsychology services with new clients who do not meet the criteria described above or to apply to provide in-person services in Nova Scotia, please continue to use our existing courtesy register.
